As a small family boat charter business (based in Southampton) we a offer a personal specialist service in the delivery and fulfilment of the final wishes of your loved one for a Sea Burial.

Our personalised service offers bereaved families a complete “one stop shop” service this includes obtaining a Licence, and handling all logistical arrangements associated with carrying out a Sea Burial for both families & Funeral Directors direct for a fixed price.      

We are an experienced Burial at Sea Company working directly with bereaved families and most National and many Local Independent Funeral Directors for whom we deliver the operational parts of a burial at sea.  

Our involvement starts following being notified of the persons death, taking full responsibility for obtaining  DNA Consent Form, the Government MMO licence, liaising with both the family and funeral director on the weather conditions of a suitable date through to the compliance with the provisions of the MMO burial at sea licence. 

We act at all times as a support of the Families and their Funeral Director in the fulfilment of their loved ones wishes to be buried at sea.

Normally, we take up to 10 family members to sea with their loved one on their final journey.

How to Arrange a Burial at Sea

From being notified of the death (usually from the Funeral Directors) we take full
responsibility for obtaining the MMO licence though our MMO online account.

The coffin and any inner liner must be made of natural, non-toxic materials.They must both be able to withstand any impact and be able to carry the body.
